With the project, the LEEDCo says, "the Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation has built an integrated, cost-effective solution for the Lake Erie Basin, with a focus on improving water quality and conservation over time." The LEEDCo's "Energy for the People" project, funded by the EPA, has been a success, but "there are now no plans to bring this project to the surface."

If the project is completed, it is expected to create up to 6.1 million square-foot (1.76 million square meters) of commercial and industrial space for the project that will be located offshore. The project will also bring 1.5 million square feet (5.4 million square meters) of commercial and industrial space, along with a total value of $45-$50 million.

The next phase of the project is expected to begin in 2021. The first of the projects will begin to be installed by December 2020.

The next phase of the project, the Oceanic Project, will include the construction of "Icebreakers" on a site for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Lake Erie, which is the only active offshore wind project in the U.S. The next offshore wind project will include a new marine power plant, which might be completed by mid-2020.

The project is slated to produce up to 12.3 million MW (13.2 million MW) of wind power. Although the project is expected to be completed by 2021, the project may not reach that level of capacity until 2038.The US Department of Homeland Security has just issued an update on how it has handled the Ebola virus outbreak.

The department is making recommendations for how to handle the epidemic, which has killed 7,000 people and left more than 1,300 people with serious health problems.
