When we first announced that we were going to be

When we first announced that we were going to be exhibiting the first video game (VR) headset, we thought it was a bit too ambitious. We'd already seen the likes of Game Gear, Xbox, and even Microsoft's Kinect. The idea that the best VR headset on the market was going to be a handheld was too much for many people. But the idea of a new generation of players and developers was something we could all agree on, one that could be sold to anyone. Plus, for a new generation of gamers it would mean we'd have a huge opportunity to build the next generation of VR, something that we'd never had before.

In any case, we took the risk of bringing a different, older consumer product to CES rather than focusing on the latest version of the headset. By bringing in a new generation of gamers at the same time, we made our presence felt even more personal. Instead of using your eye as a camera, we showed off a brand new version of the Oculus Rift at CES. A true 3D TV, this one with a virtual reality headset and a 2-in-1 display. It was a perfect showcase of the Oculus Rift's potential.

The ultimate tech show: A tech show that's not just a tech show.

The first trailer for Oculus Rift VR showed off two new headsets that didn't have any real-world use in VR, but didn't actually have anything going for them. The first one, the Oculus Touch, is a 4K, 4K-capable VR headset that can be used on any desk, anywhere in the house, even on a portable device. It's been on the market since 2014, but it's been in development for only six months (and will soon be in production), and the company hasn't released detailed specs yet. But it's great to see so many people showing off their new headsets, and to see the first trailer for it coming to CES. The first trailer for Oculus Touch: The Oculus Touch

It's only recently that we've seen what we thought was the potential of a VR headset for the gaming world, even though it's still in the early stages. But we think the best way to show off its potential is to give it a try. We've seen so many demos—and many of them are totally original and awesome. The first trailer for Oculus Rift VR shows
