Trump's comment was met with the same response from a number of Google employees.
The most prominent and outspoken of those was Chris P. Cox, co-founder of the Center for the Study of Journalism, a think tank that is affiliated with the liberal think tank the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
"You're right," said Mr. Cox. "If I had to guess, I'd say that Donald Trump is more racist than Bernie Sanders."
Funny how the only problem Donald Trump has is that his base of supporters don't support his racism. (Well, there is a long list of that, too, but I won't go into it until he gets to the bottom of it.)
And in response to Trump's comments last month about the "fake news" that may be "alarming," CNN did a post for the website, "CNN and the Fake News, Part 2," which discusses the political and media climate in America. (You can read the entire article here and here.)
Mr. Cox wrote that "fake news" has caused "a flood of hatred" in America and is making it difficult for Democrats to lead.
He called the criticism of CNN "misinformed" and said, "CNN needs to stand up for truth. In a time of social media it's not fair to deny that, right?"
Meanwhile in Russia, Mr. Trump was trying to get a picture of the president-elect, saying, "There is a lot of anger and hatred in this country. It's a very, very sad country, but we're seeing it all through the media now. I think we're seeing it firsthand now."
In fact, he said, "there is a lot of anger and hatred, and it's hard for us to talk about it. In America, it's not about politics. It's about personal feelings and personal emotions, and I think that's a very, very sad country."
He called the Russian election a "lame duck" and said, "Look, we're doing something wrong. We're not doing it with the United States of America. We don't care who wins. We care what the country thinks."
Here's the problem, though: Trump has made good on his promise to crack down on the "fake news."
The only real way he can do that is from inside his own White House, and he has not been so timid.
