Then came The Witness expansion, a DLC set to come out in April 2017. The Witness was a follow-up to the single-player experience and focused on getting more players into the story. But it wasn't until September 2016 , when the game began to lose its narrative, that the story was reborn, as it had been in the first two games, and was once again an amalgam of all the story elements that Destiny had been attempting to replicate. And there was not a single story in Destiny—a new one, if you will—that was consistent with what was happening then.

The new story in Rise of Iron was the first to include a whole world, full of different types of creatures. This was a good thing, because if you wanted to explore a different world, you needed to dive deep. It was an important thing, because if you wanted to explore a new story, you had to be able to read through different stories simultaneously.

And I'd like you to ask the same question. What has Destiny become? If you think there are no overarching stories, what have you become? Did you start out with three different sets of circumstances? What has Destiny become because of its new players? It is easy to find excuses for this. No one in Destiny is "getting good" with this game at any age. It is easy to get into the mindset that Destiny is merely a series of missions, where you just sit down and play and talk and play and play and play and play until you feel like you have reached and won the endgame.

It is not an easy life to live in, and as such, this is how you end up being a Destiny fanatic. It is a life that has become so long and so many years, that you cannot think about what you have accomplished in life without feeling like the next person to do it.

The first two Destiny games, Destiny: The Taken King and Rise of Iron, were very good games. They all had a sense of what Bungie wanted from Destiny, and they felt right at home. It was a joy to be part of the story and the story told through them. But there was also a lot of frustration because it felt like you were doing it for the express purpose of getting a better sense of what Bungie wanted.

I'm glad my friends at Bungie are playing Destiny, and I hope I'm as happy as I am with Destiny. But I have to admit, there was a little bit of an awkwardness with playing Destiny. For a
