The Pixel Slate is the first tablet Google has released
The Pixel Slate is the first tablet Google has released in three years and it's only getting better. Chrome OS was the first, at least in terms of design and functionality, and as long as we're looking at a Windows-only tablet that has a lot of features, it's a win for us.This study examined the association between the effects of high-protein dietary intake and metabolic risk in a population-based cohort of Swedish adults. Subjects were divided into three groups of 16 persons: controls and those who consumed 25-50 g per week of normal diets. Low-protein diets were considered the most suitable, and were considered to have low-risk of coronary disease; high protein diets had an average risk of 20–70% higher risk than low-protein diets. Subjects were randomly assigned to four groups in which the protein intake of the primary dietary protein was >75 g per week. For example, subjects who consumed ≥125 g per week of high-protein diets showed a greater percentage of risk of coronary disease than controls. Subjects were also more likely to develop diabetes than the control group, but there were no differences in risk of diabetes from high-protein diets. The highest intake of protein was obtained from high-protein diets and the lowest intake was obtained from low-protein diets. The high levels of fat and saturated fat from diets with high intakes of fat did not explain the association between high-protein intake and risk of coronary disease. Thus, this study supports the hypothesis that high-protein dieting may reduce the risk of coronary disease. The video will start in 8 Cancel

A man who has been accused of raping and murdering a woman in South Yorkshire is to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
James Stenstone, 37, of Stannards Road, Huddersfield, was jailed for life at the Old Bailey in February.
He spent more than three years in custody before being released on bail.
The court heard Stenstone told police he and his friend, 24, had travelled from London in December 2008 to the town of Huddersfield on a date.
In the early hours of January 20, 2008, Stenstone and his friend returned to Huddersfield where he had sex with the young man, but he did not stop at the scene.
