The new AT&T leadership is expected to be named by Verizon Wireless Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Marcelo Claure next week, and the company's board has scheduled a meeting with chairman and CEO John Legere, CEO of CBS Corp. John Legere has been in his post since January, when the company announced that he would be joining AT&T's board of directors, just two days before the company's quarterly shareholder meeting (see "Legere leaves, AT&T-VHBO merger, and AT&T-Time Warner merger in limbo").
The announcement comes a day after AT&T unveiled a second round of plans to merge with Time Warner. The company's plans include a combination of the two companies' two flagship service, HBO, a new two-year service that will include "full access to our content," and a two-year service that will include "full access to our content," but the company has not released a timetable for that rollout. Time Warner, which includes HBO, has been one of the most prominent players in the streaming space. In addition to HBO, Time Warner's other major player, DirecTV Now, has been owned by Time Warner for the past decade. Time Warner, founded by Bob and his wife, Patricia, also owns Warner Bros. Television and Fox Broadcasting. The United States is home to a number of national and international human rights organizations, including the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Center for Human Rights in the East, the Global Network for Women's Rights, the Global Network on Race and Ethnicity, and the Global Network on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
