The game was released in January 2016, and it didn't find many players before then. It's hard to fault those who haven't had a chance to play and still find that The Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a very long slog.
For those who haven't played anything more than a handful of the games that follow, The Shadow of the Tomb Raider feels like a real thing. There are only two main antagonists, The Shadow of the Tomb Raider and The Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2. In both cases, the antagonists are rather bland. The Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2 is a bit of a cross between the main 2, but not one of those two.
With The Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I found myself wishing I had actually played the game, but I didn't. I can't say that I liked it because, in the end, The Shadow of the Tomb Raider was a game that felt like a real, actual experience – one of those games that really just felt like something I had seen my fair share of. There was a sense of tension, but there was also a sense that I was watching the universe slowly descend into a new place. Croft is one of those characters I can imagine a lot of fans (and people) are familiar with, and I'm just glad that they got the chance to see what they can do with her in The Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2.
I don't know if the game's lack of depth is what was really lacking, but I do think that The Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2's combat system will make it less repetitive. And I know that with the right amount of depth and variety, The Shadow of the Tomb Raider can provide a game that is actually fun to play but also, rather than grind for hours to finish, can truly get you pumped. I don't get the feeling that I'm watching the universe slowly descend into a new place; I only feel that it's a little more enjoyable and, at times, rather frustrating.
There is a bit of a 'wow' moment in Croft's action that I've found annoying, though, and I'm not sure why. You can't really see it until you get to the end of the level, but it could be because of her actions in the beginning that you lose the sense of what really counts.
The Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2 is the first game released in 2016 by Square Enix, and in that time, the game has been released over two million times, and has an
