"The FCC doesn't want to keep its word, it doesn't
"The FCC doesn't want to keep its word, it doesn't want to keep hearing, and it doesn't want to keep giving the information to the Commission to investigate any Russian government influence on the current process," said FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler. "And I think the FCC should do that. That's what we're doing. The Freedom of Information Act is an American tradition, and we are supposed to keep it open as long as possible."
"The FBI and others have been saying for months that there's a Russian connection to the public comment process in the FCC," Wheeler added, "and it's now very clear that the White House has an interest in it. And the Feds are refusing to release our records."
In June of 2016, the FBI and the DOJ filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the FCC. The complaint says that the FCC has ignored a request by the Feds to "remove any evidence linking the Russian government to the 2016 vote on Internet privacy reform."

"This is my second time, and we are ready to meet the challenge as we go forward," the retired two-star general told the station.
He further added that the Pentagon's effort will be "a major victory for the fight against terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq."
The Pentagon has been under increasing pressure to take more aggressive actions against Islamic State and other violent threats to its forces, the Defense Department said in a statement on Tuesday.
