"The DHS' findings suggest that the U.S. government has a significant problem with data being collected and retained in border areas that are not specifically authorized by law to be opened and closed by the government or its contractors," the report said.
"However, the DOJ's findings suggest that the U.S. government is not only missing data from all ports of entry in the U.S., but also its own data centers and security personnel. DHS has identified these incidents as well as any other instances where data collected from ports of entry have been compromised."
DHS’'s initial investigation into the incident led to the discovery that it had deleted or improperly deleted more than 9,000 USB sticks stored at the ports of entry.By Michael Krieger
A new report from the Pew Research Center finds that more than half of black Americans now believe that President Donald Trump has broken promises to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States.
The report, released Tuesday, finds that more than nine out of 10 Americans, including 59 percent of black and Hispanic Americans, believe that President Trump has broken the promises to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States, and that more than half of the Hispanic population does so.
By the way, while Trump has said that he would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States, in fact nearly a third of Democrats approve of that number, and just under a third of Republicans, with a plurality of independents, do not.
