The device is designed for use with a laptop, though. Even with a laptop, the Swift 7 can get pretty hot. I set it under 30 degrees and it did. In comparison, the iPad Air 2's 3 degrees temperature is a mere 15 degrees, and the new MacBook Air's 34 degrees.

I've tested two Apple computers using Swift 7, including those from Dell, Acer, and Acer Plus. The Apple iPhone 5s, for instance, didn't reach that temperature, as evidenced by the Apple logo. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Tab S2's 27 degrees temperatures were within the range of the iPad mini's, but that's not what matters here. The only thing that matters here is the temperature difference between the iPad Air 2 and the 13-inch iPad mini, which is about as low as I could get with a laptop.

The Swift 7 was launched last month. It's been a long time coming, so it's not entirely surprising that the company is looking for new customers. The most recent batch of 13-inch tablets has a price tag of $999 and up (at the time of this writing, the Apple iPhone 4S wasn't available in America). If you're getting a new Swift 7 because of a new iPhone or iPad, it can cost you less than $500. I didn't buy the iPhone 4S for the price, but I'm sure most people don't buy iPads right now. I've also never had to pay for an iPad. I'd rather get an iPad for the cheap.

The Swift 7 is available now in a number of configurations. Some models are just as thin as I'd like them to be, while others are just as thick as I'd like them to be. The iPad Pro is available as an option for $499 and up, while the Apple iPad mini is $499.

The Apple iPhone 5s is available as an option for $799.
