That said, Waymo was not prepared to give a release

That said, Waymo was not prepared to give a release date for the debut of the commercial service. In an email today, Waymo clarified that its first commercial rides will come "in about a month," but that "we are still working on the details."

A second commercial service is in the works for Waymo's NextGen car, which will be unveiled sometime next year. That service will be "a complete departure from Waymo's current approach of providing a daily and nightly ride," Waymo explained. (The company doesn't give its details on the upcoming service.) The NextGen car's main attraction is the way it will be controlled, and Waymo hopes to have the service fully ready for rides later this year.

While Waymo is still early in preparations for its next-generation commercial service, it is making a big push to bring its fleet of self-driving vehicles to market. Already, Waymo has announced that its autonomous car company, Blue, is working with the US Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to develop a test vehicle that can drive itself, as well as its fleet of autonomous taxis. Blue will also be providing self-driving cars for its partner Lyft in collaboration with local city and county governments.

The partnership will allow Waymo's fleet of autonomous cars to travel on a range of streets, from the Phoenix suburbs to cities on the outskirts of the region. They will also have access to state-of-the-art sensors, which will help them quickly and accurately predict the speed of vehicles. In the wake of the tragic murder of three members of a gay gay couple's family, one local resident has taken the issue further, issuing an appeal to state lawmakers and community leaders to consider expanding the legal protections for LGBT people in Kentucky.

The man, Brian T. Hays, is a father of three and a former medical student at the school. He told WTSP he was saddened by this tragedy but didn't think it would affect him in any way.

"I am also saddened by this senseless death," Hays said in an email. "That's why I am calling on your legislators to do what is right for the family and their future children."
