So what will history say about this mystery oil-based oil?
So what will history say about this mystery oil-based oil? According to Bressan, it "will be a fascinating discovery and we will be looking into it more closely."A new report from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) warns that the U.S. should not be complacent about nuclear power plants, saying:
"Our ability to provide clean electricity and reliable clean energy will be greatly enhanced during the transition to renewables. This is especially true for the energy security of our energy infrastructure. As this transition approaches, we should be taking the necessary steps to reduce our dependence on nuclear for our power generation."
"This report also highlights the growing threat of a nuclear power plant that could contaminate and destroy the water supply. The U.S. government should not allow the development of plants that will contaminate our water supply or create a fire. We must ensure that our nuclear power plants are safe and that they are not subject to fire."
The DOE report is part of an ongoing effort at the Department of Energy to provide "a framework for a clean energy future" for the nation. In April, the agency, chaired by the President, asked the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to recommend changes to the country's nuclear power plan. In April 2014, the agency also recommended that the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) issue a public statement in response to the report.
"As the next president and president-elect, I will work to ensure that the American people know that the country can continue to innovate and build the best nuclear plants that are safe, reliable and economically viable," said Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz.
