She alleges that the company retaliated against her for writing and publishing her personal information in an effort to prevent her from revealing all of that information to colleagues.
"Tesla, for the most part, is a company that's committed to privacy, to civil society, to the First Amendment," said quoting from the complaint.
"It's one thing for me to go out and do it, but it's a completely different thing for me to go and do it in private. This lawsuit and my personal information are evidence of that. I have the right to be there. I'm not going to be able to speak to other people outside of the company without your cooperation."
The suit was filed in August, and claims that her former employer, an early Tesla employee, fired her for laying out her personal information online by using her pseudonym and email addresses, which the company did not provide her.

After the lawsuit was filed, the company released the following statement:
"This lawsuit and my personal information are evidence of that, not me. The decision to file this suit was taken by my attorneys. We will continue to fight over privacy and other matters in the future."
