Samsung's tablet isn't far from the real-world performance of a flagship tablet such as the Tab S3, but its software may be too similar to a tablet in a pinch. In fact, while the Tab S3 is better suited for tablets with bigger screens, it feels a little heavier and heavier at the same time. The Tab S3 is a little smaller and a little thinner, but it's still relatively light on the weight and weight-per-pound, and the Tab S4 is more or less equivalent to the iPad Pro in terms of weight and weight-per-inch. With that in mind, I wouldn't feel that it's nearly as durable as the Tab S3, and I can understand why someone would want to use it for gaming or at least the occasional desktops. However, there's one thing that's more noticeable: the Tab S4 doesn't come with any Windows 10 support. There's no way in hell that Microsoft will enable the functionality in Windows 10, but there are ways to do it. You can use the "Do not use" button on Windows 10 to skip Windows 10's screen-loading, and it's possible to use the same option on your other machines. Unfortunately, this is not the most attractive option for Android users, because both the Tab S4 and the Tab S3 are designed to be run on Android devices—they both run just fine on Windows 10.

While Microsoft will continue to include Windows 10 support in apps for tablets, Windows 10 is still going to be pretty much the only system that can run applications that are not supported on Android devices. If you want more desktop support, the Tab S4 is going to be more than capable—and a lot more flexible—than the best Android devices, and Microsoft is only taking it to a new level. The Tab S4 should be able to provide a decent amount of Windows 10 support when it releases in Q1 2017, and if it does, it should be able to do better than its predecessor.The following is a list of known and unconfirmed rumors about an upcoming release.
