Q: You recently released a paper on the neurobiological link between Alzheimer's, depression, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder called the "Vitamin D Paradigm" and some other conditions. Is your work related to this paper?

A: No. I studied the link between Alzheimer's and the role of vitamin D in the brain. In a recent article in Nature, the paper's lead author, Dr. Michael Reuther of the Harvard School of Public Health, wrote about the link between vitamin D deficiency and dementia and Alzheimer's. We’re working on it now.

Q: How do you think the link works?

A: We’re working on the VD Paradigm. I’m looking into the correlation between vitamin D deficiency and Alzheimer's Disease, so I don’t know anything about how the link works. I'm also not sure how it works to diagnose Alzheimer's. I think it is more complicated that way.

Q: In recent years, the focus has shifted to the role of vitamin D as a therapeutic agent. What are your plans for the future?

A: I’m still waiting on a lot of research on vitamin D as an adjuvant for dementia. But I’d be looking for a new approach to the problem.
