Nintendo also has an online program called Switch Unlimited and it'll let you play games remotely from your Switch console.

"This program is available in several formations ranging from 3rd-party app store services, online game saves, and other Nintendo 3DS games," Nintendo said. "If you have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership you may want to consider this program, provided you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Switch Unlimited is available to users of the Switch. Switch Unlimited is available to users of the Nintendo Entertainment System for the Wii U, 3DS or Wii U."

While Nintendo makes clear that they are not limiting Wii U games to a group of four (two of which are free), they have said that "the number of Nintendo Switch games that are sold as part of the Nintendo Switch Online package does not include games that are not part of a group of four, and therefore Nintendo Switch is not able to offer such games in the Nintendo Switch Online package."

Nintendo says it does not offer any of these games.

The Switch Unlimited program will not allow you to play the Wii U or 3DS games. Switch Unlimited will only work with games that are supported by Nintendo. It will also not allow you to play the Wii U or 3DS games when they are in your Wii U or 3DS Console, or when your Wii U console is in your Wii U or 3DS Console.

While the Switch Unlimited program will work with any Nintendo Switch game, it does not allow you to play the games that you will be able to play in the Nintendo Switch Online package. Nintendo has said that it "consults with other partners to ensure that they have the latest and greatest performance and the best software for the Nintendo Switch console and Nintendo Switch™ console system" and that "this process will not stop Nintendo from offering Nintendo Switch Online games to its members in the Nintendo Switch community, and this is a process Nintendo considers the most appropriate and cost-effective approach for its gaming and entertainment business."
