The administration is also planning to move forward with plans to allow transgender people to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity, including a ban on using the bathroom that matches their gender identity and a ban on using a gender-neutral name or pronoun.
The change, which will apply to anyone seeking to use the restroom or locker room that matches their gender identity, will likely be one of the biggest legislative announcements in the Obama administration's history. On the heels of the Justice Department's announcement, President Trump has repeatedly said he would not allow transgender people to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity.
