Microsoft has been a major player in Internet Explorer's launch since it launched Windows 7 in 2008. Microsoft made several big announcements during Windows 7's launch that were widely expected to help make Internet Explorer a better operating system. One of the new features that Microsoft included in IE 10 was the ability to use an external browser to view the web pages of your local computer. IE 10 was an important part of Microsoft's strategy to make IE Internet Explorer an appealing service for users, as it enabled them to access their online services from any computer on the Internet. IE 10, along with other major features like an online store, was a great piece of the Microsoft Edge ecosystem that was also designed by Adobe to be a great browser for those looking for their favorite web sites.

As Microsoft continues to push new features to Windows 7 Pro with support for Office 2007, the next step for Microsoft in support of IE will be its next operating system. The next version of Windows 10 will be an open-source operating system for developing Windows products, such as Excel 2010. Microsoft's next major release will be an x86-based version of Windows called Windows 10. Microsoft's next major release will be a successor to Windows XP in the form of Windows 10 Mobile, and while Windows 10 Mobile will only be available on devices running Windows 10. Microsoft also announced that it is also launching Microsoft HoloLens, the next major Windows 10 headset, which will be announced on October 23rd.
