Microsoft has taken a number of steps to address this problem with the new Skype client. First, Skype will now be available on PCs running Windows 95. Microsoft also plans to add the Skype support for 64-bit Windows platforms beginning in October. It also plans to make Skype more compatible with operating systems other than Windows, including Linux, Mac, and iPhone OS X, according to Microsoft.

Microsoft also announced plans to add support for Windows 7 and 8 on PC and Mac PCs by the end of this year.

On February 20, Microsoft's Skype partner, Microsoft Phone, announced that all new Skype client features and applications in the upcoming version of the Skype client will be available in the Windows Store.

SMS-based services such as Skype, SVP at Microsoft, and Skype's own Skype team are currently working on making the new, modern client version available to all users of the company's Windows Phone division.

Microsoft is also working closely with Nokia's support team, which is working on their own version of the Skype client. The Nokia team is developing a new version of Skype, known as OV-X, that will provide voice-to-text messaging and web browsing.

Microsoft's Skype team also plans to build a new client for Google Maps that will be available by September. While the new client will be available on all Android phones, a new Skype client for iOS is also planned for September.
