In the end, though, the show is not an exercise in the use of emotion. For a sport that has spent a long time defining itself by how it wants to be watched, Formula 1 is the perfect opportunity to get a little more emotional. The show is not about any one single person, but about all of those people, and even some of the people that they love so much.An investigation by The Daily Caller News Foundation has identified more than 3,000 cases of people who were arrested and jailed on drugs and marijuana charges during the 2012-2013 year, according to a new study.

The report, "Drugs and Marijuana Arrests in America: A Longitudinal Analysis of National Data and Data Analysis," found that most of the arrests, while not unheard of, were of marijuana and cocaine.

Among those arrested and jailed during the same time frame, the most common drug used by offenders was marijuana.

"These figures are alarming, since it is common for drug offenders as well as law enforcement officials to engage in widespread marijuana arrests in the United States," said Richard P. Pimentel, a professor of criminology and criminal justice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Pimentel analyzed the data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, a comprehensive survey of U.S. adults conducted in the 1980s, and found that the largest number of marijuana and cocaine arrests went to the most serious offenders.

"It is clear that there is a huge disparity between the number of marijuana arrests and the number of cocaine arrests during the same time period," Pimentel said. "These figures show that the number of drug arrests as a percentage of the population is increasing.
