However, the second season didn't really happen. On May 6, Netflix announced a new season, bringing the project back into production: a second season of The Haunting of Hill House.

We've been hearing that there will be a second season of The Haunting of Hill House in the fall, but we don't know if that's going to happen during the 2015-16 season. We have some preliminary information for you:

First up, it looks like the series will be a long-running horror anthology series, with one of the most popular series in the genre churning out a new series every couple of years.

And then there's the fact that they will also be writing and directing one of the most controversial characters in the genre: Richard Dreyfuss (the aforementioned, who plays the character of an American serial killer who lives in a hotel room in the U.K.).

According to Deadline Hollywood, Richard Dreyfuss will write this season (or at least the third one, as Deadline Hollywood reports that he'll be writing the fourth one for the first time).

We don't know who will write the script for the second season, although the show's producers have suggested it might be a mystery series.

The other show in the series and the series that will be on Netflix is The Legend of Zelda . The Legend of Zelda was first introduced to television in 2010, and has become a critical and ratings icon.

There's also an upcoming sequel to the original, which will continue the series in 2018. We will be keeping you updated about any new developments.

What do you think, should Steven Spielberg's The Haunting of Hill House be coming back to Netflix? Could he write it for Netflix to follow up with the show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
