Here's a short-run version of the video that I made to illustrate what I meant. If you'd like to view it on Youtube, you can download it here.
And here's a video from the New Horizons mission that explains why the jet seemed to be moving at speeds of around 100 km/h, even though it was traveling at just around 20-30 kilometers an hour.
What's interesting here is that the "viewed from Earth" part doesn't actually show any "lens" on the object. Instead, the "viewed from Earth" part seems to appear to be the same speed, when it's projected in one direction, at a distance of about 100 km. So, the "viewed from Earth" part of the article is actually a more general explanation.
If you don't want to see the video, you can watch it at the Waze blog.

It was a day of great excitement during this year's American Renaissance, a gathering that included a panel and panel discussion with some of the organizers of the conference, speakers and artists, including the author of this year's book series by James D. Gaylor and the lead speaker, the writer of the 2016 book called, "A New Hope."
As the participants of the event discussed the ideas of the book and its work, they also discussed the history of political activism, and the ways in which the book's focus on political identity and social justice was an important part of its approach to activism at the conference.
And, as the audience members made their way to the stage to greet the speakers on stage, they also heard a number of questions about the book's impact on their political activism.
"Have you ever been involved in activism before?"
"A lot of my friends would say no."
"Do you have an opinion on this book?"
"But you're an activist, right? You have to do that in your own heart."
"And you have to do it in your own mind."
"And you can be anything you want."
"And you can be everything."
