Google has been pushing out an update over the past month to keep Project Fi working, and according to Ars Technica, the feature isn't yet being rolled out to all Android phones. Google also said the feature will only work with Android 4.4 and up—but this time around, Google is saying that it's going to add a "pre-configured VPN" feature for Android smartphones in the coming weeks.

Google says that the VPN will be able to keep you connected to a range of Internet based services on every Wi-Fi network, and that its goal with Project Fi is to help people avoid being exposed to bad connections in the first place.
