For Marvel, the stakes are higher: They're not going to
For Marvel, the stakes are higher: They're not going to give up the mantle of the Defenders. And that may mean that they'll take a more aggressive approach to their plans.
I'm not going to lie: The character of Luke Cage is more than a little different in its appeal from that of the comic book superhero. I'm not entirely sure that I agree. Some might argue that Luke Cage's arc is more like that of the character of Daredevil, and that's fine. But I want to be clear: This is not a Marvel TV series. I'm not saying that Marvel TV is out of place for the character. They're not. But I don't think it's fair to compare Marvel TV with Marvel TV without giving them the benefit of the doubt.
And that, too, is what our readers are getting at with the show. As fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we're certainly fans of the Marvel TV show. We're watching it live on ABC, we're watching it on Hulu, we're watching it at Netflix, we're watching it on Amazon Prime. And our appreciation of the show, and our appreciation of the Marvel TV show has nothing to do with what we see on the show, but rather with what is happening on the show. As long as we watch The Defenders, which is a great show, the show doesn't matter. But now we have a very different experience. We have a new, very different view of what the show and the story stands for.
It's a great thing to be in. A great thing to be part of. It's funny, sometimes. And it's not funny at all. But it's also not a perfect story. We're not saying it's a perfect story, or a perfect story in any way. But we're trying to make it, with the greatest possible intentions, and with the best possible kind of intentions. There's a lot of great, very important stuff happening in the world of Marvel TV, and we're trying to make it better. I think, in a way, it was very important to us.
Marvel TV was a huge hit in the United States, and it's something that has been going on for a long time. But in the United States, it's not a great thing. It's a terrible thing. It's not something that's going to happen in the United States or anywhere else.
Netflix is also a huge marketer, and for good reason. Netflix makes a lot of money
