Despite the recent delay, the company is optimistic that the rocket motor controller will be able to support the launch of the Electron vehicle within the next two weeks. A company representative has confirmed that the company will be back on schedule within three weeks to begin the new Electron test. That means the flight on the Electron will be able to begin within the next three months and continue beyond that.

The company has been working with Aerojet Rocketdyne, Rocket D, and Space X to resolve any issues with the motor controllers and have been able to make improvements through the help of a group of engineers.

Rocket Lab is currently in the process of reviewing the software for the Electron launcher and developing a fix for the issue. The company will be working on a final version of the app for that launcher on December 19 or 20 during the launch window. Rocket Lab was also working on a new launch app for the Electron launcher called "Fire-Ready" which will be available for download on January 19.
