But there's a catch. Diablo Immortal offers no more features than Diablo II and Diablo III. The game's interface is only available in the Chinese version, so some of the game's most basic features are completely absent. Instead, this is Blizzard's way of adding an entirely new kind of Diablo to a Diablo game—and a brand new world of the kind that players will experience when playing Diablo II: Dark Arisen.

The Diablo sequel's focus on a new world of magic has been heavily hinted. Diablo II was revealed earlier this week as a sequel to Diablo III, so that's not surprising. But even after the game went live, Diablo II's Diablo III—the game that was supposed to make Diablo II the next Blizzard game—went bankrupt.

On Thursday, Blizzard confirmed that both Diablo II and Diablo III will be free to play when it launches next month in North America. That's an impressive development with a much more impressive story--and one that Blizzard has a great deal of faith in—so it's fitting that Blizzard's first Diablo game was free.

The fourth game will be free to play when it launches in North America. It could be that Blizzard is trying to get an early version of Diablo III released soon.

Blizzard's press release doesn't mention ZTE for a very long time, but it does say that the team at Blizzard Entertainment is considering bringing Diablo III back to North America in a few months, but it wouldn't be too surprising for those of us who have been waiting for Diablo III
