But the Galaxy Home can be quite impressive for its price—at just $149.99 (USD), that's far less expensive than the most cost-effective speaker that has been available to date.

The Samsung Galaxy Home will sell for $139.99, but its price is considerably more than what Amazon and Apple offer, and the Samsung Galaxy Smart speaker is only just around $99.99, which is more than twice as much as the $149.99 Amazon and Google speaker.

The first of many speaker releases this summer will be the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is set to launch next year in the United States, with pricing starting at $349.99 with a $399 base model and $499.99 with a $549.99 base model.

Samsung also announced plans to make its Galaxy S III a larger consumer product, with a total of five models priced at $549.99 and $699.99, respectively, but that figure is set to fall by the end of the year.

This is the third time the Galaxy S III has debuted in the U.S., and two of these will feature the Samsung Galaxy S III's curved display. These first two have been available only in the U.S., and only two of these will hit stores in July — though many will hit the U.K.

The next six new Galaxy S models will be the Samsung Galaxy S III, which will ship in May, and the Samsung Galaxy S III Plus, which will ship in June, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S III Plus. Prices are expected to go up slightly to $349.99 from the $399.99 Amazon and $499.99 Apple models.
