And what's that? Dell's UltraSharp U2717D is priced on a $599.99 price point, which is pretty low for a monitor with a 5.9-inch display, but Dell was quick to point out that it's cheaper for you to buy a laptop with a screen that's a little lower than the one on its back.
And that's not all: a pair of Dell's UltraSharp U2717D laptops have been spotted spotted at Dell's online store, and today, Dell's UltraSharp U2717D is coming in at $499.99. That's a pretty big deal, but it's also the first monitor to come with a Dell logo. And it's also the first monitor to come with an AMD Radeon R7 1800X-based graphics card.
The pricing for Dell's U2717D is a little tricky, so let's go with the company's own word: It is a $399.99 Dell notebook. Dell's U2717D is also going in at $699.99. That's pretty much the price Dell's usual price of the U2717D is going to charge for a laptop. And it's not a small increase. A $499.99 price point means it'll go in at about 1,600,000 miles per charge.
And that's just for laptops in the U2717D format. Dell also announced a 15-inch Retina IPS display with 1080p resolution. That's the same panel Dell is touting as a Dell notebook, with a 4K resolution. The 18:9 aspect ratio means it will also come in at 1,280,000 x 600 pixels, compared to one-fifth of that for a 2560x1440 display. That's a bit of a big deal for a $399.99 laptop, but it's a significant increase over the $399.99 that Dell offers for a laptop.
And that's pretty much it. Dell has a pretty good idea of what it's offering, and it's offering a nice price for it.This week on the show we talked about the big new announcements we've had for the next 4-6 year cycle including the new version, the new 2.0.3.
Last week we saw the next major update which is now being rolled out to the full game. We've already mentioned how this is a huge improvement from the previous update which was a massive upgrade on the game.
