And that's before you even get to the finale, which will have to wait until February 16th, at which point the show will likely be renewed for a second season. In the meantime, here's how the writers, producers, and execs explained what happened:

"After the first season, we felt that this was the best season of the show by far. The show didn't really get much better, and it was just a little bit overpriced. But that's the only downside we could see. It's not like we were expecting to get a whole lot of attention from the press. We felt like we needed to do better."

So let's talk for a moment about the writers and producers, who will be on hand to tell you about what went down in S2:

"We're not really involved in it at all. We do have a small staff. We're in a room of 20 guys that's probably about 2 to 3 people on the show, but we don't really do anything. It's all on the show, we're just doing our thing. We've been here for a couple of seasons now, and we've been doing pretty good. The first season was so good, it made sense for us to make the decision, because we love doing something like this."
