And at least as important, according to the Microsoft press release, that product is being developed.
Microsoft has launched products like Microsoft Paint, Visual Studio, and other Microsoft-based applications in Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, as well as the HoloLens 2 that will be released in the next few weeks. You can get the full list of Microsoft HoloLens 2 apps and hardware specs at Microsoft.com.
The best part is that Microsoft plans to give the world "a glimpse into what's at stake."
Microsoft's HoloLens has been around for over five years; its first product, the Surface Pro 2, was released in 2011. The HoloLens will be available next spring or in the spring of 2016, though it seems likely that Microsoft will release the Surface Pro 3 sometime in the fall of 2016.This is a rush transcript. AMY GOODMAN: This is Democracy Now!, democracynow.org, The War and Peace Report. I'm Amy Goodman, reporting from Washington. We're in the capital, St. Louis, where President Barack Obama is scheduled to address the U.S. Congress for a second day on Tuesday. His speech will be followed by the first of his two days.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: One of the things that we have done is we have been able to find significant progress. I want to thank you for your support. And I also want to thank you for all of the people who work to keep us going. The United States of America is the first democracy in the world to have a president who has a strong commitment to the American people. And I think we have a president who can bring that commitment to the world. I think this is an incredible accomplishment for the people of the United States of America, our democracy, and the people of the world that has elected him.
